Eintracht Frankfurt have agreed a deal with Real Madrid for the transfer of their star striker Luka Jovic.
The agreement is for an undisclosed fee but it is widely thought to be in the region of €65m.
Luka Jovic has been on the radar of Europe’s elite clubs for several years having originally impressed as a youth player for Red Star Belgrade in his native Serbia.
Jovic has spent the last two seasons on loan at Frankfurt, having only made the deal permanent in April. He scored 27 goals in 48 appearances for the German club this season and has been capped four times for his country.
Jovic no doubt further caught Real Madrid’s eye by playing a significant part in Frankfurt’s impressive Europa league run. The Serbian striker scored 10 goals in the competition before Frankfurt were eliminated by the eventual winners Chelsea.
Frankfurt are thought to have made a sizeable profit on the player they were reported to have paid just €7m for in April.
